looking for somewhere new to explore this summer? albania is the perfect hidden spot. gals who travel have created the ultimate way to experience the wild beauty of the south in 9 days and it is also the first trip of our new gals who hike adventures. think hiking through mountain trails and hidden canyons, kayaking along crystal-clear coastline, swimming in secluded beaches and slowing down to reconnect together outside within nature. we’ll begin in the colourful capital of tirana before heading into the mountains and historic stone towns of berat and gjirokastër, where winding paths, castle views and local life make you feel worlds away from the crowds. from there, we journey south to the albanian riviera for coastal hikes, hidden beaches, boat days and sunset swims in places that still feel untouched. expect days spent outdoors, hiking to secluded coves, kayaking across turquoise water, exploring national parks and sharing slow evenings by the sea. from the rugged mountains to the Ionian coastline, this trip is all about adventure, connection and experiencing albania’s raw natural beauty together.

touchdown in tirana 🇦🇱
welcome to albania gals! are you ready for 9 days exploring this amazing european hidden gem. touch down in tirana, unpack and meet the rest of the group. we'll start our time together with a short tour around skanderbeg square. we'll spend the evening soaking in the sun and enjoying our first night as a group!
lake bovilla hike & exploring tirana 🏞️
rise and shine! our first morning in tirana is spent hiking the mountains with views of lake bovilla. take in the gorgeous views of the mountains as we tick off our first hike of the trip. after a busy morning you'll have the afternoon to explore the historic streets of tirana. we'll meet in the evening for dinner and we'll find a great spot to watch the sunset, of course!
osumi canyon kayaking 🚣🏼♀️
we’ll take a morning drive via the scenic belshi lakes, with a quick photo stop to capture it all. once in berat, we’ll head out for an incredible afternoon kayaking the osumi canyon! this guided kayaking tour takes us along the stunning osumi river, taking in the canyon’s dramatic rock formations, waterfalls, and scenery. in the later part of the afternoon, we'll wander through the 1001 windows neighbourhoods of mangalem and gorica.
cobbled streets of gjirokastra 🏰
today is BEAUTIFUL gals!! We'll be exploring UNESCO sites, cobbled streets and more. we'll start the day by heading to a local castle in berat. then we'll drive on towards gjirokastra (aka the city of stone). the buildings in this city are from the ottoman era, and the whole place has the most amazing backdrop of the steep slopes of the drino valley (you may have seen it all over pinterest!). this afternoon is yours to spend as you wish; your guide will have plenty of options for you to choose from!
beach clubs & blue eyes 🌊
time for a scenery change! today we're going to see one of the most magical spots in the south. albania is famous for its blue eyes and this morning we're going for a hike up to one of them. the hike is stunning, you are in for a real treat. we'll stop along the way to soak in the amazing views. the blue eye pools are so stunning, you will realise why it's the place to go. afterwards, we’ll head back down to sarandë beach and spend the afternoon on there before watching another incredible sunset here in albania.
ancient ruins & UNESCO sites 🏛️
after breakfast, we’re heading out to the unreal butrint archaeological park, a UNESCO world heritage site that’s been wowing people since the 7th century BC. think ancient ruins, wandering through the acropolis, old fortifications, a theatre and roman remains. after soaking it all in, we'll head towards ksamil beach and explore some of the beach clubs. we'll have time to relax and enjoy our evening with the gals!
beautiful himarë boat trip & qeparo hike 🥾
a hike and boat trip in one day? count us in!! we'll hit the road for a seriously scenic drive along the albanian riviera. we’ll have a morning hike up to qeparo old village, soaking up the pretty views. from here on a clear day, you can even see corfu! In the afternoon, we'll drive towards himarë and head out on a boat trip! we'll stop by pigeon's cave, crystal bay, gjipe beach, and the stunning pirate's cave. this is the best way to explore all the hotspots and hidden gems nearby. afterwards, we'll head back and spend our evening watching another breath taking sunset together
travel back to tirana 🇦🇱
our final full day in albania starts with a drive through the stunning southern coastline, travelling along the llogara pass. as we head back towards tirana, we'll be treated to some incredible views to round off the trip. when we arrive back where we started, we'll spend our final evening reminiscing about the trip, sharing our favourite memories and planning when we'll see each other next!

a moderate level of fitness is required for the hikes!! we'll take it slow and our gals are so supportive so we'll make sure we all get to the top!! just make sure you've got some good footwear!!
yess!!! nearly 90% of our gals come solo so don't worry!!! you'll get added to a group chat before you even land in tirana, so you're already chatting with your gals and tour leader before day one starts.
Every tour is led by one of our incredible Gals Who Leaders! They are all fully trained, LOVE to travel and know all the hidden gems in the areas they are showing you. We have a mix of female and male guides who lead our trips and they will become your best friend in no time!
