touchdown in morocco! once you arrive at the hotel, you'll have the day to roam, meet with the rest of the gals and set off to discover your first taste of morocco. whether you want to go over to the markets or you just want a place to drink some tea and people watch (when in morocco right?) your gals who guide will be on hand to give you suggestions for your first day. in the evening weโll all meet as a group and get to know the gals weโll be spending the next 9 days with!

it's our first full day as a group, and we are visiting marrakech's hotspots with our local guide! we'll start at jardin majorelle, which is an absolute dream. it was created in 1922, and more recently, in 1980, it was bought by yves saint laurent, who wanted to save it from being turned into a hotel. thank goodness he did because it is a super special place to visit! once we've seen all of the iconic spots, we'll head back to the medina for some shopping. markets in morocco are unlike anywhere else, so dust off your haggling skills, gals!! in the evening, we'll go out for a group dinner overlooking the centre of the medina.

we're heading away from the bustling city and getting our first taste of a more remote morocco. today is a big travel day, so make sure you stock up on snacks!! the views on this journey will be INSANE! we'll pass through loads of incredible valleys and stop off at some amazing viewpoints, too. the final stop of the day will be in the monkey fingers valley - it's a really amazing spot to finish the journey with! once we arrive to boumalne dades, we'll soak in the views, drop off our bags in the epic rooms and then head down for a group dinner at our hotel in boumalne dades and try some more of morocco's delicacies - did someone say 3-course meal?

first up today, we're heading to todra gorge, one of morocco's must-see areas!! walk through the gorgeous canyon and marvel at the stunning cliffs. after we've explored the gorge, we're heading to our next destination - merzouga. this is what we've all been waiting for - we're heading to the desert! this afternoon we've got some time to chill. your tour guide will have plenty of suggestions, so whether you want to do some exploring on foot or just want to relax closer to the hotel, you'll be spoilt for choice. luckily for us, the sahara desert is only a short walk away...we're talking literally only a couple of minutes - get ready for a dreamy desert sunset!

first up, we will have a chilled morning, have a lie-in, have a swim and take the day at a slower pace! then chakras at the ready for an epic sandboarding experience in the heart of the desert. want to know the best part of today? well, it's got to be our sleepover on the sand dunes! we'll head over to the campsite, meet the locals who are taking us in for the night and settle into our temporary, magical home! after a super busy and exciting day, weโll get ready for an evening of good food, drumming (of course...) and lots of star-gazing. trust us - you have NEVER seen stars like these! remember to pack an overnight bag for our evening in the desert! you won't need much, just the bare essentials and some spare clothes for the morning :)

did you sleep well? of course you did! after a night in the desert, weโll have a stunning morning watching the sunrise and pinching ourselves cause surely this isn't real life!? what could be better than getting back to basics with a night in the desert, surrounded by amazing people and even better views? sadly, though, we can't stay here forever, so we'll move on to our next stop: ait ben haddou. it's an iconic landscape that has been used in countless famous films and series such as game of thrones, so get your cameras at the ready for some epic photos tomorrow...talking of films, on the way, we'll stop at a film set museum on the way to explore some of the sets from some of the biggest movies of all time!

Today is an early start as weโre off to the heart of Ait Ben Haddou! This fortified village has been used as a filming location for game of thrones, The mummy and gladiator. A great place to spend an hour getting lost amongst the pretty alleys and castle-like buildings. Then we're off to our next epic location, and it's not a journey you want to nap on! Look at the epic views as we cross the Tichka Pass and get some awesome photos along the way. We told you that Morocco is a photographer's dream! We'll arrive in Imlil in the afternoon and soak in the views and the sun from our amazing hotel!

weโre going back to where it all began! weโll have to spend the morning hiking up to a waterfall (don't worry, it's not too intense!) after the walking down, we'll have a chilled morning before travelling back to marrakech. back in the hustle and bustle, we'll enjoy a final wander around the markets and soak in the incredible atmosphere. you'll also get a chance to experience some things you might have missed the first time around. in the evening, we will learn how to make the traditional cuisine we have been trying all week at a local cooking class. if you have been desperate to know how to make the perfect tagine, this is your chance to find out! it's the perfect finale to the most epic tour of morocco.

oh gals...all good things must come to an end, and after 9 amazing days of discovering the best of morocco, it's time to say goodbye. we ate like queens, saw the most breathtaking views and had THE most fun! weโve created memories to last a lifetime and taken enough pics to spam your Instagram for the next 12 months. your gals who guide is on hand for any help with onward travel plans you might have if today doesnโt mark the end of your travel adventure! we will see you again soon โค๏ธ
